Bel-Zhan introduces you to the life of typical Kyrgystan village. You can walk through the village and the fragrant fields to the lake, a trip to the Grigorevka gap, visit the local market, spend a day at the beach or just chilling on the site. For the guests of Bel-Zhan we also offer the opportunity for different hikes.

Grigorevka

The Bel-Zhan lodge is situated in a village which has 5000 inhabitants and is called Grigorevka. In the village Kyrgyz and Russians live together peacefully. You will encounter two different cultures and religions (Russian Orthodox and Islam) .. A mosque and a church. Yurts where originally nomads lived and stone houses, built by the Russians before and after the revolution 1917.

The Issyk-Kul lake is 7 kilometers from Belzhan. The hike up to the lake is nice and beautiful. Along the way you can encounter horse and carriage, but also an SUV. Grigorevka is not a real tourist place. The population is extremely helpful and welcoming to foreigners.

The lodge

The lodge has opend in July 2014 for the first guests. The setting is small: we have a maximum of 20 Beds. Here an impression, of the interior design and the first lay-out of the area, click here. This is a preliminary design and alterations may appear.
